Every hundred years or so
A bug comes around, changing the way the world looks
There is one thing we have though
All of human history, written in books.
Mankind has a long way to go
Ingenuity, drive, passion, and unlimited bucks.
An invisible virus that we can’t see, but know
It has become one of humanity’s biggest crooks.
We forgot the value of a hug; nice and slow.
We ignored the reason for a kiss, and mistook it for emotional hooks.
It is more than just love, those that understand chemistry know
traditional salutations were the norm, even for eunuchs.
When a greeting is a kiss, hug or a bow
We are sharing the world, so don’t let them go.
